Well Hello 2014!

Hey everyone!!!  Its been many years since I made a post on this blog.  As I was reading through some old posts today and looking at some old pics I realized I have to start blogging again if for no other reason it has to happen for the kids.  Allanah sat with me tonight and looked through old pics and was so excited to read everything that went along with every pic!  I was thrilled to remember those days as well.  The kids have grown so much now!  In the upcoming weeks I am going to talk about many things that hopefully will be helpful to everyone, but I am going to try to start realizing why each day is special and bring something good from the moments we are blessed with.  I will be talking about army life, deployment, medical issues, natural living, homeschooling, church, and many other things that you may or may not find exciting.  What do you want to read about?  Comment and let me know and I will do my best!  Goodnight!

Snow!

Beautiful angels!!

There look like they are up to something.....

So its snowed this morning..... Tyler was at guard drill today so we waited until he got home and while Cameron napped he played in the snow with the kids. They had so much fun, and with any luck this will be our last snow of the winter (crossing my fingers). The kids got cold very quickly but it was worth it!

Tonight was Adam's first soccer practice for the spring season. He did really good and seemed to enjoy practice, it lasted about a hour. Allanah was sad because it was not her night to practice (it will be her first season) so she wore her soccer gear and kicked the ball around anyway on the side. Cameron ran, and ran, and ran some more!! I took a picture of Allanah chasing his around as she did for part of practice. I think they will both practice on Monday's for a while.

Cake

I just wanted to show off this beautiful Boston Cream Pie (sorta) that Tyler made. I helped a little but he did most of it, it came out of our peanut butter recipe book, and instead of using vanilla pudding we used chocolate in the middle with the peanut butter. You can only imagine how rich it was, thank you for the cookbook Rach its awesome! At this point I am just exercising hoping to break even each day I guess lol.

Nap

This evening the cat Allanah calls Dora (and Tyler and I call cat because Tyler refuses to call a boy cat Dora, but that's another story) took a long nap. If we all could look so relaxed when we nap......

Allanah's 4 year checkup

Allanah had her 4 year checkup today and she is very healthy, silly girl would not talk to the doctor for a while she wanted me to do the talking for her. She is in the 95th percentile for height (I knew she was tall, she gets it from her Daddy ;) ) Anyway we are going to church tonight and I am gonna watch Private Practice, but other than that it should be pretty quiet. The weather here is so cold and its rainy making the cold that much worse. I hope the roads don't get icy.......
