just a snowy church day

We were invited to the methodist church this morning and we really enjoyed the service, its the same church we have been attending on Wednesday nights for bible study. Then we packed up and headed to our normal church for service. The kids were so tired once we were done we came home and they napped and relaxed it was a great quiet afternoon. We also had to get a battery for the van it was dead this morning of course. So all in all it was a pretty good day with beautiful snow outside.

Top 10 things that made Lana's birthday magical

10 happy meals (paid for 10 for some reason?)
9 kids with noisemakers
8 princess bags with gifts
7 other kids who wanted to join our party
6 trips to the soda fountain
5 leftover hamburgers
4 proud grandparents
3 trips to the car to carry presents
2 noisemakers purchased by "poppy" for a dollar a piece for some quiet
1 happy 4 year old birthday girl

All in all it was a great party. We came home with leftover cake which is so good, and I did not have to clean up the mess. We have named baby alive Ariel, and ate 3 Hannah Montana candy bracelets. Today was also the anniversay of the day two years ago that we met Adam and Lana for the first time. I think back through the months at how much we have all grown and its amazing how quick time flies when you are having fun.

Happy Black Friday

My black Friday was a very happy day because I did not go to Wal-Mart until about 4:30 to pick up a few things. We got Gator Golf for Keith and a Stephen King book for Ashley. I still have a few people on my list but it'll get done. We went to Tyler's parents for dinner and Sidney and Camden were there. The kids had a great time playing, and Tyler had a good visit with his parents longtime neighbors Pat and Curly, it was Curly's 90th birthday. Lana is sleeping in her own bed (adams bunk bed) for the first time tonight its very exciting. Now to watch the soup and go to bed!

Thanksgiving 2008

So we survived another Thanksgiving. The kids love it more and more every year. There were 11 of us. I thought we may have to stay home Adam woke up throwing up in the middle of the night and said he had a headache, but by morning he seemed fine. All in all we ate so much good food, and it was even warm enough to go to the park for a walk. I plan on leaving Mom and Dads and going to see Erica (you better be home ;). I am not fighting the crowd tomorrow!!! Good luck if you plan too. I have pictures coming tonight after I upload them. To all enjoy!!!
